August 15 2019 by:

You know the feeling…late waking up, no time to style your hair, stick it up in a ponytail and hope you’re not going to regret it later, when your hair starts to break and split.

But hang on a sec. Is it really true that putting your hair up frequently, whether it’s in a ponytail, plaits or an elegant bun, can damage your hair?

But she does suggest you take a closer look at what you use when you’re wearing your hair up.

“It’s important to use the right accessories when you are putting your hair up,” she said.

“Hair elastics can snag and break the hair and tying it up too tightly can cause stress to the hair follicle.

“Mix your style up, use covered hair bobbles and don’t make your style too tight.”
